LISA
A Buffalo, NY native, Lisa moved to the Lowcountry in 2006 after graduating from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Biology. Her passion for animals led her to pursue professional grooming, and in 2005 she graduated from the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming in Henrietta, New York. With over 20 years of grooming experience, Lisa has dedicated her career to helping pets look and feel their very best.
After working in several small grooming salons, Lisa turned her dream of owning a business into reality by establishing Paw-metto Pooches Pet Salon in October 2008 and officially opening our doors in January 2009. Since then, she has built a reputation for providing exceptional care, quality grooming services and a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
When she's not at the salon, Lisa enjoys cheering on the Buffalo Bills, watching Judge Judy, bowling and playing tennis. A strong advocate for animal welfare, Lisa is an avid foster with One Love Animal Rescue, dedicating her time to helping pets in need.
JILLIAN
Jillian was born and raised in Roanoke, VA, and moved to the Lowcountry in 2000 to raise her family. She began her career working with animals as a veterinary assistant at several local clinics before discovering her passion for pet grooming. She has worked in the grooming industry for over 20 years and has served as our salon manager for the past 15 years, specializing in double-coated breeds.
Outside of work, Jillian enjoys cruising on the Royal Caribbean, maintaining her lawn and staying busy with a variety of DIY projects around her house.
ALISON
Alison relocated to the Lowcountry in 2022 from Stamford, Connecticut. She began her grooming career in 2017 at a veterinary hospital in Westchester, New York, after transitioning from a career in human hairdressing. She enjoys working with all breeds of dogs, with a special focus on Poodles, Doodles, and other curly-coated breeds.
Outside of work, Alison enjoys fishing, watching Twilight and collecting anime figures. She is also a mineral and crystal connoisseur.
CAM
Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Cam relocated to the Lowcountry with her family as a young child. With nine years of experience in the pet care industry, she has worked in a variety of roles, including kennel management and maintenance, pet sitting, and dog walking. Her passion for animals and commitment to their care led her to pursue her career as a groomer. She began her grooming journey as a bather here at Paw-metto Pooches working her way up through her hard work and dedication into a professional groomer.
Outside of work, Cam enjoys getting lost in a good fantasy novel, playing video games and spending time in her kitchen baking sweet treats. She is also an avid horror movie enthusiast and loves a good scare.
MARY JO
Originally from Augusta, GA, Mary Jo has been working in the pet care industry for over eight years. Her experience includes caring for pets in boarding facilities, where she ensured their comfort and well-being during overnight stays, as well as working as a veterinary assistant in several veterinary clinics. In those roles she helped care for hospitalized and sick pets, assisted with wellness exams and supported veterinary teams in providing quality patient care.
Mary Jo began her grooming journey as a bather here at Paw-metto Pooches and through hard work and dedication, advanced her skills to become a professional groomer. Her diverse background in pet care and veterinary medicine gives her a unique understanding of each pet's needs, allowing her to provide compassionate and high quality grooming services.
She loves reading, exploring the wilderness, and binge-watching Love Island.
ANNISSA
Born and raised in the Savannah area, Annissa has been dedicated to the pet grooming industry for the past five years. Starting her career as a bather at a private salon, she quickly developed a passion for grooming and worked her way up to becoming a skilled professional groomer.
In her downtime, Annissa enjoys listening to Ariana Grande, catching up on her favorite YouTube channels and spending quality time with her family and son.
TORI
Tori was born and raised in the Lowcountry and has been working with animals since 2019. She began her career as a kennel technician with Jasper Animal Rescue Mission and advanced to the role of Animal Medical Care Coordinator during her time there.
Tori has extensive experience in animal handling, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, animal training/socialization and kennel management. Her passion for animal welfare and hands on care has made her a valuable advocate for the pets she serves.
When she's not working, Tori enjoys cruising to Bermuda, watching true crime shows, and indulging in horror movies. Her guilty pleasure is Law & Order SVU. A devoted animal lover, Tori has a special talent for bottle-feeding orphaned animals.
KAYLEE
Kaylee is a native of the Atlanta area and is currently homeschooled. She is actively involved in a regional debate team, traveling throughout Georgia and South Carolina to compete and develop her communication and leadership skills.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Kaylee volunteers with the youth group at Victory Baptist Church, where she enjoys working with and mentoring children. Her strong work ethic, positive attitude, and natural connection with animals make her a valued member of our team.
Passionate about animal care, Kaylee hopes to pursue a career as a professional pet groomer one day. When she’s not caring for pets, mentoring, or competing in debate, she enjoys crocheting handmade stuffed animals and spending time with her family.
